Derrick Hadeed

Driven by a desire to create engaging and contemporary architecture that responds to its context, Derrick works closely with key clients across a wide range of scales and typologies in both the public and private sectors.

Derrick is an Architect and Senior Director at ECD and joined the practice in 2015 after successfully building a reputation with internationally renowned award winning Architects and construction professionals for delivering high quality architecture. Derrick’s approach is proactive, creative and always project focused.

He is passionate about design and is keen to ensure that buildings are delivered with consistency from concept to completion, whilst his practical and detail orientated approach enables him to add value to projects in the hugely important transitional phases between concept, design and delivery.

His broad experience includes overseeing projects across several different sectors, typologies, and scales. These include Park East New Build Estate Regeneration 320 new homes at Arthur Street in Erith, which is currently on site and set to deliver exemplar affordable homes. He is currently leading the design team on several SHDF and privately funded low carbon retrofit projects.

Derrick’s specialties are in Conceptual Design, Architectural detailing and Building Contract Management. Derrick has the ability to lead teams, run building contracts and win architectural competitions, and has delivered this throughout his career with drive and enthusiasm.

Outside of work, Derrick is passionate about Architecture, the Arts, football and cooking. In his spare time he enjoys visiting galleries and driving out of the city to discover new places. He visits his family members in the Trinidad and New York whilst exploring the city trying out different cuisines.
