Laura Boffardi

Architectural Designer & Passivhaus Designer

Laura completed her Master degree at the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ and is a qualified architect in Italy since 2009. In 2011 she won an international placement bursary to collaborate with Claudio Silvestrin office in London and since then she has gained experience in UK with different practices working at all RIBA stages on a variety of projects, from residential to commercial and healthcare.

In parallel to her main work, she has been volunteering with Architects Without Borders on several projects worldwide. Following these experiences, she started to research how architecture can contribute to the UN SDG30, delving into studies with the TU Delft on Sustainable Urban Development and becoming a Passivhaus Designer.

In ECD she is part of the Sustainability Working Group, supporting the teams knowledge on Biodiversity, Retrofit, energy modelling and Thermal Bridges.
