Drymen Announced Winner at Scottish Home Awards

ECD Architects are delighted that our Drymen Passivhaus project for Hanover Scotland has been recognised as winner of the Scottish Home Awards 2023 Affordable Housing Category! The Scottish Home Awards were founded in 2007 and is run for the benefit of the housebuilding community, with the objective of helping housebuilders and housing associations sell, rent or promote their properties more effectively.
The Conic Way and Montrose Way development in Drymen marks the first Passivhaus development for Hanover. Passivhaus design features and benefits include optimal solar orientation, thermal comfort, excellent indoor air quality, and wildflower meadow grass for increased biodiversity. Buildings built to Passivhaus standards use up to 90% less energy for heating and cooling, and up to 70% less energy than conventional buildings.
