Matthew Wingrove

Matthew is a qualified architect with 8 years experience. Prior to joining ECD in 2022, Matthew worked for Marks Barfield Architects, where he gained experience in various sectors, including residential, culture, education, office mixed use, and sport and leisure. Matthew was project architect for Cambridge Central Mosque, which was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize in 2021. He has extensive experience leading design coordination with consultants, and working on-site with contractors to deliver projects.

At ECD, Matthew is a member of our Sustainability working group, where he is focussed on measuring and reducing Whole Lifecycle Carbon emissions, which requires balancing operational emissions of buildings in use, with emissions related to materials fabrication and construction activities.
