Loreana to present at London Build on 25 October!

October 9, 2017

We are pleased to announce that Loreana Padron will be speaking at London Build 2017 with regards to ‘Residential Retrofit – Achieving EnerPHit at Scale’.

Date: Thursday, 26 October 2017
Time: 1:00pm – 1:30pm
Location: Sustainability Zone
Olympia Central, London

As 85% of homes will be standing in 2050, the challenges of retrofitting large scale residential buildings to reduce carbon emissions must be addressed.

In this session, Loreana Padron will review the differences between a Part L compliant and an EnerPHit/Passivhaus refurbishment. Using data from a live ECD project and research by others, she will identify the opportunities deep refurbishments can provide, as well as, the additional value to be achieved in terms of social, economic and health benefits.

Loreana Padron is an Architect (ARB, RIBA) with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture and extensive experience in the residential, commercial and education sectors, both for new build and refurbishment projects. Loreana is an Associate and Head of Sustainability at ECD Architects as well as a Certified Passivhaus Designer (CEPHD). She has specialised in the refurbishment of tower blocks via a fabric first approach, to reduce their energy demand and to provide comfortable and healthy environments for the residents, as well as reduced energy bills.

London Build 2017, now in its third year, is the UK’s largest construction expo dedicated entirely to opportunities in London and the South of England.
