Selin Yilmaz Architectural Assistant ECD Architects

Selin joined ECD as a Part 1 architectural assistant after completing three years of architecture studies at the University of Nottingham. Throughout her studies, she prioritized sustainability in her projects, driven by a passion for shaping the future of architecture through eco-friendly practices.

During her time at university, Selin worked on a variety of projects. In her final project, she designed an artist residency that focuses on economic, environmental, and social sustainability, emphasizing the use of recycled and local materials. The project aims to revitalize the riverside of Middlesbrough, an industrial city, and encourage public engagement with art. Additionally, it reflects the unique characteristics of Middlesbrough, known for its metal workshops, while inviting visitors to explore these features.

Having developed various skills during her university education, Selin views her time at ECD as a new opportunity for growth, aiming to further enhance her abilities and career with each project she works on.

An accomplished sailor with multiple awards, including national championships in Turkey, Selin also emphasizes the importance of sports on her personal development.
