Millie Mackintosh
Architectural Assistant
Millie is a Part 1 Architectural Assistant and is a recent graduate from the Glasgow School of Art, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in architecture. Her final semester took place on an exchange in Reykjavik, where she continued to develop her interest in sustainable design, rewilding and retrofitting. She has a passion for sensitive, responsive projects that allow design to act as a catalyst for community regeneration.
Throughout Millie’s university projects, she has enjoyed researching vernacular building and local materiality. Her projects engage deeply with the surrounding community, fostering sustainability through sharing knowledge and supporting construction upskilling through community hubs. Her efforts in ecological design were recognised by SEDA, receiving the Krystina Johnson Award in 2025 and being recently shortlisted for the A&DS Best Scottish 3rd-year Student.
Millie is currently focusing on a variety of housing projects within ECD and is excited to gain practical experience in retrofit, adaptive reuse, and new-build projects, as well as to further her knowledge of Passivhaus design.
