Architectural Assistant
Keir is a Part 1 Architectural Assistant and a recent graduate from the University of Dundee, where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. with a strong interest in materiality and the expressive potential of structure, both internally and externally. His design approach is rooted in creating architecture that facilitates social interaction and responds thoughtfully to human needs.
With a passion for designing spaces that foster connection and community, Keir focuses on how architecture can enhance daily life through careful attention to detail, tactile materials, and legible structural systems. He believes that structure should not only serve a functional purpose but also contribute to the spatial and aesthetic experience of a building.
Keenly interested in how buildings are made, Keir is currently gaining valuable experience at ECD Architects during his placement year, where he is deepening his understanding of Passivhaus design, residential projects, and sustainable retrofit strategies.
