Belen is a registered Architect and certified Passivhaus Designer with 8 years of experience in the UK. She completed her Masters of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and her Sustainable Building Design and Engineering MSc at University of Greenwich where she specialised in the impact of passive design measures to mitigate the effects of overheating in UK dwellings, taking into consideration today’s and future climate scenarios.
Working at ECD, Belen has led new build and refurbishment projects with a particular focus on affordable housing. She has experience designing high performance buildings, including Energiesprong and Passivhaus Standard. Currently, Belen is focusing on achieving EnerPHit performance and Net Zero Carbon in the refurbishment of a 21-storey residential tower.
