Ashleigh Rizza

Architectural Assistant

BSc (Hons)

Ashleigh is a highly motivated and passionate student from the University of Strathclyde, recently completing their third year within the BSc Hons Architectural Studies course. Through previous experience studying and achieving a BSc qualification within Chemical Engineering, Ashleigh developed a deep interest in sustainable development, which became the backbone of their architectural journey.

Throughout their education, Ashleigh has developed a clear sense of design, a unique visual style and the ability to integrate a technical knowledge of environmental technology seamlessly within architectural projects. Recent university projects include a proposed low-energy co-housing development within Glasgow’s city centre. Through innovative design solutions, Ashleigh aimed to design a space which united local community, considering passive energy solutions, low-carbon materials, and increasing biodiversity.

Ashleigh joins ECD for their Part 1 year in practice, hoping to continue their successful journey in sustainable architecture. Ashleigh looks forward to applying their prior knowledge and skills in a professional setting, contributing to projects that align with their passion for sustainable design and positively impacting communities and the environment.
