BSc (Hons)
Adam Speirs is a part 1 architectural assistant, who joined the ECD team following the completion of his 3rd year architectural studies at the University of Strathclyde. Throughout his time at university and beyond, he has developed a strong appreciation for the importance of sustainable design, and aspires to have a positive impact on the industry.
Adam has worked on a variety of academic projects as he progressed through his studies, including a library, housing project, and most notably a performance venue that sits floating over the river Clyde in Glasgow. This project’s concept is based around creating a platform for small artists in the city, and using the unique site constraints to the building’s advantage to draw attention from the surrounding city.
Throughout University Adam has developed a strong and varied skillset consisting of design, technical, and collaborative skills. On top of this Adam is committed to developing these skills and consistently learning and improving as his career progresses.
Having joined ECD in August 2024, Adam is looking to use his skills to contribute to sustainable designing in Scotland, and hopes to have a positive impact on both the construction industry and the environment.
