First homes handed over in Gosport!

Gosport - Glebe - Handover Sept 8 2026

September 9, 2026

We were delighted to be in Gosport on Tuesday to mark the handover of the first of the new affordable Passivhaus homes we designed for Gosport Borough Council.

Located on Glebe Drive, the new homes have been designed using a fabric-first approach to provide residents with comfortable, healthy and highly energy-efficient homes with lower energy demand and running costs.

It was great to join Gosport Borough Council and contractor PMC Construction and Development Services Limited at the event which was further organise to provide the Council’s housing managers the opportunity to see the completed homes and understand how they will work for residents.

ECD Sustainability Lead and Certified Passivhaus Designer, Laura Boffardi, was also on-hand to discuss the benefits of Passivhaus and the practical information residents need to get the best from their new homes.

And the key message? Living in a Passivhaus home doesn’t need to be complicated. They work much like a ‘normal’ home – but with MVHR rather than a conventional boiler – while providing a much more energy-efficient and comfortable living environment.

A big thank you to Gosport Borough Council and PMC for a really interesting event, and congratulations to everyone involved in reaching this exciting milestone!
