CIAT AT AWARD WINNERS!
We’re thrilled to announce that Thornhill Primary School received The Award for Excellence in Architectural Technology, and Claire Raftery won the Chartered Architectural Technologist of the Year Award at the 2024 AT Awards!
The awards, hosted by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) at Christ Church Spitalfields, recognise excellence in architectural technology, and ‘the exceptional contribution that Architectural Technology practices and professionals make to the built environment.’
The judges praised the Thornhill project for its successful implementation of Passivhaus standards, highlighting exceptional technical detailing, proactive collaboration with specialist subcontractors, and high construction quality on-site. The project involved the creation of a new Passivhaus certified building, and the transformation of existing facilities to create a cohesive and modern learning environment. We are incredibly proud of this project, which places sustainability at its core, and are honoured to have this recognised by the awards!
Congratulations to ECD’s Claire Raftery MCIAT for winning the Chartered Architectural Technologist of the Year Award! This accolade honours her outstanding contributions and excellence in the discipline.
