ECD Highly Commended at AJ100 Awards

June 24, 2024

We are pleased to share that ECD Architects was highly commended within the Practice of the year category at the AJ100 awards on Friday.

James Traynor, Euan Durston and Loreana Padron attended from ECD Architects Ltd and said it was a great fun.

This is a great achievement in our second year of being in the AJ100 – The Architects’ Journal AJ100 programme which celebrates the achievements of UK’s largest architecture practices, measured by the number of architects employed in the UK, including those leading the way on sustainability.

The AJ100 Practice of the Year accolade champions practices which are committed to driving positive change, either through their own projects and ways of working, or within the wider profession and beyond. Our extensive work in retrofitting over 10,000 homes across the UK showcases our dedication to combating climate change and enhancing the quality of living spaces. This recognition is a testament to the hard work, passion, and excellence of our entire team. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and excited to continue pushing the boundaries of sustainable architecture.

Loreana Padron was also shortlisted 1 of 4 for Sustainability Leader of the Year, so ECD have been very well recognised this year for our contribution to the industry as judged by our peers.

Highlighting that ECD has 35 qualified architects, 57% of which are women and 11% of which identify as being from an ethnic minority, ECD was joint listed as 82nd within the AJ Top 150 2024.

A huge thank you to The Architects’ Journal and congratulations to all the other incredible AJ100 winners and nominees!
