ECD BIM Consultancy Services Win Constructing Excellence SECB Award

We are pleased to announce that last night ECD Architects won the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards 2019 Digital Construction category in recognition of our BIM Consultancy Services at Westminster City Council.
The Constructing Excellence Awards are unique in their recognition of outstanding built environment companies and projects that have delivered improvements in all-round performance through collaborative working and a real desire to make a difference. They are really important in driving positive change through the sector – recognising the very best companies, initiatives and projects. Importantly, they inspire others to innovate to achieve even better customer satisfaction, staff motivation, profitability and reduce environmental impact.
The Constructing Excellence Digital Construction category rewards organisations, projects or initiatives that have adopted, advanced and achieved excellence in Digital Construction. The Judges were looking for examples of how the adoption of collaborative digital processes has dramatically improved the planning, design, fabrication, construction and operation of built facilities or infrastructure.
In awarding ECD this award, the judges highlighted:
“ECD’s BIM training and development programme has provided WCC with the opportunity to integrate a collaborative BIM user group from each department within the Council that promotes the use of digital construction across all projects.
“Ashbridge Street provided the Council with a live pilot to learn from and the ability to use the design and development proposals. This led to the development of a digital twin strategy allowing councils to capture and manage information of the existing stock to align with the requirements of the Hackitt Report.
“Presentations and CPD training over the past 2 years to others within the industry, along with social media engagement, has provided a platform for sharing evolving best practice.”
As a winner of the Constructing Excellence SECBE 2019 Awards, our submission of our BIM Consultancy Services at Westminster City Council is automatically put forward for the Constructing Excellence National Awards and is on the Constructing Excellence Blog site. Our entry will now be judged alongside the winners of the Constructing Excellence Awards throughout England and Wales for the National Awards to be held on the 8th of November at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel – so wish us luck!
