Scotland Build is FREE to Attend: ECD Head of BIM Technologies to Present.

October 27, 2017

We are pleased to announce that Patrick will be speaking at the Scotland Build Expo 2017 with regards to Taking Advantage of BIM: understanding Building Information Modelling and capturing this information for Facility and Asset Management.

Date: Wednesday, 22 November 2017
Time: 12:15 – 12:45
Location:  The SEC Centre, Exhibition Way, Glasgow G3 8YW
Summit: BIM & Digital Construction

Patrick has a detailed understanding of BIM processes and Revit Architecture and an expertise in the implementation and enforcement of BIM standards, as well as experience in the implementation of AEC BIM Standards, PAS 1192-2 and project execution plans. As BIM manager Patrick implements the processes and procedures of BIM modelling, information management and Data exchange on projects. He is responsible for: creating the Project Information Plan and Asset Information Requirements: managing the preparation of Project Outputs (e.g. data drops) and the implementation of the BIM Protocol; and updating the Model Production and Delivery Table.

Building Information Modelling is driving unprecedented change within construction and development as well as facility and asset management. In this session Patrick King will illustrate how the full potential of BIM can be harnessed to rationalise the often fragmented workflows within the industry to save Councils and Institutions both time and money.

Using data from real project examples, he will explore how strategic thinking in BIM can result in better data management, time savings and quantifiable decision making for furfure works. Where traditional asset management is often hindered by the segmented process provided by the number of different methods for gathering and capturing data – and the inefficiencies, lack of control and accuracy issues these afford – Patrick will illustrate to attendees how BIM can enable them to effectively Plan, Design, Build and Manage their buildings and estates. By taking full advantage of innovative technologies naturally created within the BIM process, Estate managers and directors can optimise workflows, streamline information, and integrate Asset data.

Scotland Build 2017, now in its third year, is Scotland’s largest construction expo dedicated entirely to opportunities in Scotland. Scotland Build is attended by the country’s ‘movers & shakers’ in the UK’s construction industry from: tier 1 contractors, subcontractors, builders, developers, local councils, housing associations, government, architects, solution providers and more.

The event is FREE to attend.  To register visit the Scotland Build Expo page.
