100 Miles Prudential Ride London Route!

August 7, 2017

Anthi Valavani took part in Prudential Ride London for the ‘Breast Cancer Now’ charity whereby she rode for 100 miles from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to Surrey Hills and back to London in an effort to raise awareness about breast cancer and cycling. The sportive consisted of a number of charities being sponsored by the individual racers, which were more than 30,000, and the fundraising money was donated to each individual charity. The Prudential Ride London is an annual event and this was the 5th year it took place. Anthi organised her fund raising campaign by asking colleagues to estimate the time they expected her to complete the race and make a small donation to put towards ‘Breast Cancer Now’.

Anthi completed her time at an outstanding 6:44:10 seconds! Anna Butler had the closest estimation and was given the prize of £10 for her contribution, which she kindly donated to the charity.  Overall Anthi managed to raise £66 in total and is pleased to have partaken in such a challenging but rewarding event. The fundraising box will be available until the end of August for additional contributions!
