Newhall is a new neighbourhood between the Essex countryside and Harlow designed to a masterplan, where ‘creative contemporary architecture serves the living needs of people in the 21st century.’ Forming part of Phase 1, the North Chase Development was subdivided into four areas each allocated to a different architect ‘known for their flair and edge when designing contemporary residential units.’

As part of this selected team, ECD was allocated a parcel of land containing plots located on the north-east edge of the masterplan by Roger Evans Associates, with an aspect towards Newpond Spring Woods. These have been developed as a ribbon of apartment buildings starting in the square with a building designed to reflect and complement other elements of the focal point of The Chase. Plot 1L4 has a commercial unit on the ground floor and a range of apartments over three additional levels.
